We are all under unique stress during this time and would like to communicate with you in an effort to relieve some stress for parents, students, and staff. We understand that this has been such a challenging time in the history of our community, country, and world. You make me very proud to be part of this district and community. Thank you to all of you-staff, families, and students-for demonstrating such resilience and so much support for each other during this unusual and challenging time. Our facilities and grounds continue to be closed until further notice. Details will follow later, and will be dependent on social distancing requirements in place at that time. Graduation is scheduled for Monday, June 15th, at the FHS football field. May 20th-22nd will be days for teachers to receive professional development on providing distance learning-in case it is needed in the future and to finish grades and classroom wrap-up for the summer. The last day for seniors is Wednesday, May 13th. You will receive details about these days from your teachers/principals. This will allow for Monday and Tuesday, May 18th and 19th, to be drop-off and pick-up days for items such as yearbooks, desk and locker contents, textbooks, library books, borrowed Chromebooks, etc. The last day of instruction for students is being moved up to Friday, May 15th. There will be no instruction and no meal delivery on this day. Monday, May 11th is a furlough day for all staff on this year's calendar. We will continue to provide distance education. With social distancing and safety requirements, it will not be possible to return to our school buildings this year. Now that we know the details and timeline for the Governor's Covid-19 requirements, I want to let you know about the following plans for this last month of school:
